‍Article 1: Definitions 

1.1 

For the purposes of these General Terms and Conditions, the following terms shall have the meanings set forth below: 

a. OWee: the orientation week organized by TU Delft each year. For the 2026 edition of OWee, this includes the orientation program, both the digital and in-person days, as well as Ladies+ Intro.  

b. OWee Board: thegroup of people organizing OWee for the year in question. 

c. Event: the in-person sessions to be organized by TU Delft in 2026. This is separate from the online sessions. 

d. Participant: a person who has registered to participate in the OWee in a manner approved by the Organizer. 

e. Agreement:the agreement governing the Participant’s participation in the OWee. 

f. Organizer:the OWee Board, a division of the legal entity (TU Delft) with which the Participant has entered into an Agreement. 

g. Mentor: theindividual who has registered, in a manner approved by the Organizer, to provide guidance to participants in the OWee. 

h. OWee Group: Allparticipants are part of an OWee group. An OWee group consists of about 15 participants and 1 or 2 mentors.  

1.2

These general terms and conditions apply to every Agreement. 

Article 2: Participation 

2.1

The Participant may only participate in the Event ifhe or shehas completed the registration form (online registration) fully and truthfully, if the registration fee for the Event has been paid in full, and if the Participant has agreed to the Terms and Conditions. 

2.2

Participation in the Event must be done by the Participant in person. 

2.3

Participants must follow instructions from Event staff or volunteers at all times. In the event of repeated or serious misconduct, the Organizer reserves the right to terminate participation in the Event at any time without being liable for any costs incurred or registration fees paid.  

2.4

If a Participant engages in misconduct, the Organization may, at any time and at its sole discretion, disclose the non-sensitive and non-confidential personal data of the Participant in question to employees of the educational institutions and/or associations.  

2.5

The Participant agrees not to engage in any commercial activities on behalf of the Organizer without the Organizer’s express consent. 

2.6

Participants must cancel their registration for the Event in a timely manner. Upon cancellation, the registration fee will be refunded minus administrative fees. Cancellations can be made through Friday, August 7, 2026. After this date, it will no longer be possible to receive a refund of the registration fee minus administrative fees. In exceptional circumstances or cases of force majeure, the Participant may contact theOWee-b Board, after which an appropriate solution may be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

2.7

During OWee, payments can only be made by debit card or with (digital) event tokens provided by the Organizer.  

2.8

If OWee 2026 does not take place, or takes place in a different form, due to force majeure (natural disasters, epidemics, a death within the Royal Family, etc.), the Participant forfeits the right to any form of compensation. Nevertheless, the OWee 2026 Board will make every effort, to the extent that can reasonably be expected, to fulfill the agreements described in this document. 

2.9

The Organization reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions if necessary due to changes in government measures. 

Article 3: Liability 

3.1

Participation in the Event is at the Participant’s own risk. The Organizer is not liable for any damage, however described, that the Participant may suffer as a result of participating in the Event. Furthermore, the Organizer is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to property, unless such damage is the direct result of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Organizer. 

3.2

If, notwithstanding the provisions of the first paragraph of this article, the Organizer is held liable for damages suffered by the Participant, the Organizer’s obligation to compensate for such damages shall be limited to no more than the amount paid out by the Organizer’s insurer in respect of those damages. 

3.3

The Participant shall indemnify the Organizer against any liability for damages that third parties may suffer as a result of any act or omission attributable to the Participant in connection with (participation in) the Event. The Participant must be adequately insured against the risk of liability for such damages. 

3.4

The Participant shall indemnify the Organizer against any liability for damages that a third party may suffer as a result of the Participant’s actions duringthe Participant’sparticipation in the Event, unless such damages are the direct result of willful misconduct or gross negligence attributable to the Organizer. 

3.5

The Organizer is not liable for incidents that occur during the study associations’ First-Year Weekend (EJW), which takes place during the period between the Digital and In-Person days of the OWee. Furthermore, the Organizer is not liable for incidents that occur during the student associations’ Get-to-Know-You Period (KMT), which takes place after the in-person OWee, or during the associations’ evening programs, which take place during the in-person OWee, or during any other activities organized outside the scope of the OWee. 

Article 4: Visual Material 

4.1

During the Event, photos and video footage will be taken for journalistic purposes (including atmospheric reports). By participating in the Event, the Participant agrees to be filmed or photographed in a way that makes them recognizable and that the images may be published in print and digital media, such as the Event’s website and social media platforms.  If you do not agree with the publication of photos in which you appear, you may file an objection with the OWee Board. The Board will review the request and the image and, if the objection is deemed justified, take appropriate measures, such as blurring your image or removing the content. 

4.2

Footage from the Digital Days may not be distributed to third parties. Links and/or individual clips from broadcasts may not be shared. If this is done without permission, the Organizer will report the matter to the director of studies. Exceptions to this prohibition may be requested from the OWee Board.  

4.3

The OWee Board and its sponsors may use photos taken during OWee for promotional purposes by publishing them themselves in any medium without crediting the owner or source. The OWee Board reserves the right to refuse to allow Participants to take their own photos at specific times. 

Article 5: Personal Data 

For information about the processing of personal data, please refer to our privacy statement, which can be found at owee.info/privacy-statement and at the bottom of this document.  

Article 6: House Rules 

6.1 

Visitors under the age of 18 are not permitted to purchase, consume, or hold alcohol. This also applies to non-alcoholic beverages. Visitors over the age of 18 are not permitted to provide alcohol to visitors under the age of 18. Any violation will result in removal from the premises and confiscation of the attendee wristband. In addition, a mandatory meeting will take place between the attendee and the Organization. Visitors must carry valid identification throughout the entire Event and present it upon first request by security or the Organization. Random breathalyzer tests may be administered throughout the OWee.  

6.2

The possession, use, or sale of soft and/or hard drugs is not permitted. A zero-tolerance policy applies to narcotics, including both soft and hard drugs, and all actions must be taken in accordance with the policy established by the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The possession of soft drugs and/or party drugs (including nitrous oxide) is not permitted, even if it is for personal use.  

6.3 

The organization reserves the right to deny access to the event grounds to visitors or participants who, in the organization’s judgment, have consumed excessive amounts of alcohol and/or are under the influence of drugs.  

6.4 

Threats, abuse, discrimination, (sexual) harassment, and all other forms of (noise) disturbances and/or aggressive and inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated by the Organization.  

6.5

Visitors/participants at OWee must not behave in a way that disturbs local residents and/or business owners in the area. This means that visitors/participants must behave appropriately in the neighborhoods and on their way to their accommodations. In addition, the streets must be quiet after 10:00 p.m.  

6.6 

Participants and visitors to the OWee enter the event grounds at their own risk. The organization is not liable for any form of damage whatsoever resulting from the acts or omissions of the Organization, other persons performing work for the Organization, or third parties responsible for the logistics of the Event, unless there is intent or gross negligence. 

6.7 

You are not permitted to bring your own food or drinks to OWee events. Refreshments will be available at the event site on the TU Delft campus. 

6.8 

Trash must be disposed of in the designated trash containers. 

6.9

The materials and images presented during Digital Day must be treated with respect. Participants must also behave respectfully during the livestreams and in the associated chat rooms.  

6.10

For security reasons, visitors and participants may be subject to a search. Visitors and participants are required to cooperate with these checks. The possession of glass, alcohol, drugs, nitrous oxide, plastic bottles, cans, aerosol cans, marker pens, pets, professional audio and/or video equipment, fireworks, firearms, and/or other dangerous or prohibited items or substances is not permitted. The Organization advises visitors not to bring bags to the events. According to the General Local Ordinance, it is prohibited to consume alcohol in public areas outside of food and beverage establishments.  

6.11 

For safety reasons, visitors and participants must follow the instructions of the Organizer and security personnel at all times.  

6.12

During the Event, it is not permitted to:  

• Bringing medication without a doctor's prescription; 

• Taking cups or bottles outside;  

• Bring your own alcohol;  

• To trade in goods and/or be guilty of receiving stolen goods; 

• To commit acts of destruction, vandalism, and/or theft. The perpetrator(s) will be held liable for any damage caused. In such a case, the Organizer may file a police report.  

• Distributing promotional materials on and around the premises without written permission; 

• Bringing fireworks or flammable materials and/or setting them off; 

• Smoking on the TU Delft campus; 

• Throwing hard cups during the Event. 

• Alcoholic beverages may be consumed before 5:00 p.m. 

• Bring a filled water bottle onto the grounds. These can be refilled on site and must therefore be emptied at the entrance to an event. 

6.13

Anyone who violates our house rules will be denied entry to the Event.  

6.14

If a violation of house rules 6.2 through 6.5 is observed, the individual will be excluded from further participation in the program, and a mandatory meeting with the Organization will take place. Depending on the severity of the situation, the matter may be reported to the program director, the dean, and/or the police. 

Article 7: Miscellaneous 

7.1

In all other cases not covered by these regulations, the Organizer shall decide at its discretion. 

7.2 

The Organizer may, if necessary and reasonable, decide to deviate from these rules.
