Before applying, make sure you understand the type of housing you're looking for. There are different ways to rent a room in Delft.
You can rent a permanent room in a student house, where you'll share the kitchen, bathroom, and livng room with your housemates.
Another option is subletting, which means temporarily renting furnished room
from a student who is away for a while If you rent a host family room (hospitakamer). youll live in a room within someone else's home and share
the facilities with them.
Or you might choose a studio, a one-room apartment with a private (small) kitchen and bathroom, perfect for those who prefer more privacy.
If you want to live in a shared student house, you will likely need to go through an interview process called insterming. This is common in Dutch student housing, where current housemates. meet potential new tenants to decide if youre a good fit. This applies to all students, including international ones.

EJW stands for Freshmen weekend. This weekend takes place somewhere between August 9th-12th or 16th-19th (this varies per faculty) and is organized by the study association of the faculty where you will study. During your EJW, you will get to know the upcoming first-year students and the study association of your faculty. The OWee on the other hand is for all (new) students of TU Delft, InHolland and the Haagse Hoge School together, so all mixed! Here you get to know the whole campus and also the city.
