Resident Information
From Sunday, August 16, through Thursday, August 20, 2026, Delft will host OntvangstWeek (OWee), the orientation week for all new undergraduate students at TU Delft, The Hague University of Applied Sciences Delft, and Inholland University of Applied Sciences Delft. OWee is Delft’s largest event and is sure to catch your attention: many Delft residents look forward to the week and enjoy the festive atmosphere. OWee considers its relationship with you, as a resident, to be extremely important. For this reason, we actively invest in clear communication, accessible contact, and engagement before, during, and after the week.

Basecamp Café
During OWee, Café Basecamp will be set up in Mekelpark: a quiet gathering place for participants and residents of Delft. Here, you’ll find space to relax, meet others, and enjoy music in a cozy atmosphere. Residents are warmly welcome to stop by Café Basecamp!
Monday & Tuesday: 9:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m., Wednesday: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Thursday: 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Discover Delft
On Monday, you can pick up a scavenger hunt booklet at the OWee information desk across from the TU Delft auditorium. Along the way, you’ll visit various spots in Delft and solve fun puzzles, allowing you to discover new sides of the city.

Information Fair
This is a large information fair held at the Markt and Brabantse Turfmarkt in Delft, where all organizations and participating companies showcase themselves to attendees. Residents of Delft are also welcome to visit the information fair.

Water Olympics
Several water-based activities, such as a slip 'n slide, will be set up in the Delftse Hout. There will also be lounge areas with beanbag chairs, and visitors can have their faces painted. Everyone, young and old, is welcome to stop by this (free) event.

Backstage Campus Tour
With the TU Delft Backstage Tours, you’ll discover the university in a unique way: from the inside out. Guided by enthusiastic TU Delft students, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the campus, with tours of the towing tank, the “chamber of death,” and Dreamhall, among other places.

ZerO Waste Market
Next to the TU Delft Auditorium, OWee is once again organizing a pop-up thrift store this year where secondhand items can be given a new lease on life. Residents of Delft are also warmly invited to visit the Zer0 Waste Market.

Parking Lot P1 Auditorium
During OWee, the P1 parking lot on Van Der Waalsweg will be used for various events, such as the Opening Party and the Cantus Sing-Along. The parking lot on Van Der Waalsweg will be closed from6:00 PM on Thursday,August 13, until 5:00 PM on Friday, August 21. You will not be able to leave your car there during this period. Please check whether you can reach the campus by public transportation or bicycle. Are you coming by car? If so, you can park at P2 (Van den Broekweg) or P-TNW (Van der Maasweg).
