House Rules
We ask that you follow these house rules during OWee. In addition, TU Delft’s house rules must also be observed. That way, we can make OWee a great success together!
Rule 1.
Visitors under the age of 18 are not permitted to purchase and/or consume alcohol. Visitors over the age of 18 are not permitted to provide alcohol to visitors under the age of 18. Violators will be removed from the premises and their wristbands will be confiscated. Visitors must carry valid identification throughout the event and present it upon request by security or event staff. At all events organized by the OWee, alcohol will not be served before 5:00 PM. At all OWee events, random breathalyzer tests will be administered to minors. Breathalyzer tests will also be administered to minors at the entrance to the clubs.
Rule 2.
The possession, use, or sale of soft and/or hard drugs is prohibited. A zero-tolerance policy applies to all narcotics, including both soft and hard drugs, and all actions must be taken in accordance with the policy established by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The possession of soft drugs and/or party drugs (including nitrous oxide) is not permitted, even if it is for personal use.
Rule 3.
The organization reserves the right to deny access to the event grounds to visitors or participants who, in the organization’s judgment, have consumed excessive amounts of alcohol and/or are under the influence of drugs.
Rule 4.
The organization does not tolerate threats, physical abuse, discrimination, (sexual) harassment, or any other form of (noise) disturbance and/or aggressive or inappropriate behavior.
Rule 5.
Visitors and participants at OWee will not behave in a manner that causes a nuisance to local residents and/or businesses in the area.
Rule 6.
Participants and visitors to the OWee enter the event grounds at their own risk. The organization is not liable for any form of damage resulting from the acts or omissions of the organization, its employees, other persons performing work for the organization, or third parties responsible for the event’s logistics, unless such damage is caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Rule 7.
You are not permitted to bring your own food or drinks to OWee events. Refreshments will be available on the event grounds (the TU Delft campus).
Rule 8.
Please dispose of your trash in the appropriate bins. Put general waste in the general waste bins and plastic in the designated areas.
Rule 9.
Please treat the materials and images presented during Digital Day with respect. Additionally, please behave respectfully during the livestreams and in the accompanying chat rooms.
Rule 10.
For safety reasons, visitors and participants may be subject to a security search. Visitors/participants are required to cooperate with these checks. The possession of glass, alcohol, drugs, nitrous oxide, plastic bottles, cans, aerosol cans, marker pens, pets, professional audio and/or video equipment, fireworks, firearms, and/or other dangerous or prohibited items or substances is not permitted. The organization advises visitors not to bring bags to the events. According to the General Local Ordinance, it is prohibited to consume alcohol in public areas outside of licensed establishments.
Rule 11.
For safety reasons, visitors and participants must follow the instructions of the organizers and security personnel at all times.
Rule 12.
During the event, you are not permitted to:
Bringing medication without a doctor's prescription;
Taking cups or bottles outside;
Bring your own alcohol;
Trafficking in goods and/or receiving stolen goods;
to commit acts of destruction, vandalism, and/or theft. The person(s) responsible will be held liable for any damage caused. In such cases, the organizer may file a police report.
Distributing promotional materials on or around the premises without written permission;
Bringing fireworks or flammable materials and/or setting them off;
Smoking on the TU Delft campus;
Throwing hard cups during the event.
Rule 13.
Anyone who violates our house rules will be denied entry to the Event.
Rule 14.
If any of house rules 2 through 5 are violated, the individual will be excluded from further participation in the program. Depending on the severity of the situation, the matter may be reported to the program director, the dean, and/or the police.
Rule 15.
(Sexual) inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to unwanted physical contact, verbal abuse, or any form of gender-based harassment, will not be tolerated. Creating a safe and respectful environment is paramount. If the organization determines that someone is engaging in (sexual) inappropriate behavior, this will be officially reported, the person’s participation will be immediately terminated, and the person will be removed from the premises.
