Freshman Weekend (EJW)
The Freshman Weekend takes place the weekend before OWee and is organized by the student associations for the various degree programs.

The SteeWee is THE weekend to meet new fellow students for the first time and get a taste of student life. The weekend will take place from Friday, August 15, through Sunday, August 17, after which participants can head straight to the OWee. The cost of the weekend will be around 90 euros (including membership in Stylos). For this price, participants will be provided with a place to sleep for the entire weekend, as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner (excluding drinks). Additionally, this is THE opportunity to get to know fellow students in a different setting. You’ll get to know the Faculty of Architecture, the student association Stylos, the city of Delft, and, of course, each other. During the day, various activities will take place both at the Faculty of Architecture and elsewhere in the city. In the evening, you can party until the wee hours while enjoying a beer or a non-alcoholic refreshment. There will also be quieter evening activities for those who prefer them. All in all, it promises to be an epic weekend that’s not to be missed! We’ll see you there!

The EOW (Electro Welcome Weekend) is a four-day event packed with activities where you’ll not only get to know your fellow freshmen, but also learn about the program, the faculty, Delft, and the Electrotechnical Association (the Electrical Engineering student association, or ETV for short).
This year, the weekend will take place from Thursday, August 14, through Sunday, August 17, after which you can head straight to the OWee. The registration fee will be around €75, of which €25 is the ETV membership fee. Once you’ve paid this, you’ll remain a member for the rest of your studies, entitling you to discounts on books and access to all our activities. So be sure to sign up! Get to know all your future classmates at the Industrial Design program’s epic freshman weekend. This weekend is packed with fun, interesting, and inspiring activities designed to help you bond with your classmates. During this event, you’ll be staying overnight at the faculty where you’ll be studying, so you’ll get to know it well, too!
This weekend takes place from August 15–17 (prior to OWee). The total cost is 55 euros. This price includes membership in the study association! During the Mechanical Engineering Freshman Weekend, all first-year students will meet each other for the first time. You’ll get to know each other through many activities, including a cantus, a festival, and lots of games! This is your chance to meet your fellow students and make your first friends at Delft and in the Mechanical Engineering program. During this weekend, you’ll also form your OWee group, with whom you’ll spend the entire OWee and the early part of your studies.
The weekend takes place from August 15–17. The cost is 140 euros for participants over 18 years old, and 125 euros for participants under 18 years old. This includes:
- A full weekend of activities
- Food and drinks during the weekend
- Membership in Gezelschap Leeghwater, which allows you to enjoy fun activities, academic support, and book sales during your studies
- A mandatory lab coat for use in the faculty’s workspaces

During the orientation weekend for first-year Earth, Climate, and Technology students (August 14–17), we’ll travel to the countryside and discover many of the interesting things our program has to offer.
We’ll start with a visit to a few companies where an EC&T student might end up working, after which we’ll continue on to Belgium. In addition to several excursions and a geological hike, there will be plenty of free time to get to know your fellow students better! Plus, you’ll learn more about the student association and its committees when all committee members join us for a day of fun in Belgium!

The Civil Engineering Welcome Weekend, also known as COW, is the most fun weekend you’ll ever experience. This is the perfect opportunity to quickly get to know your fellow students and make new friends for life! This epic weekend will take place from August 14 to 17, so it fits perfectly with the OWee. The Freshman Weekend gives you the perfect opportunity to get to know your fellow students before the academic year officially begins. It’s really great to walk into the lecture hall on the first day and run into the new friends you met during the Freshman Weekend. The student associations of MST, the Leiden Chemistry Society, and the Technological Society are organizing a weekend full of fun activities, a chance to explore both cities, lots of singing, and of course, partying! The weekend starts on Friday, August 8, and ends on Monday, August 11. Don’t worry, you’ll still have time to attend the OWee and the EL CID—the program wraps up in the morning.

The VSV “Leonardo da Vinci” is the student association for the Aerospace Engineering (LR) program. From August 14 through 17, the VSV is organizing the freshman weekend with over 300 first-year students. This is the perfect opportunity to get to know your future fellow LR students, the VSV, and the program.
For about €110, you’ll get a place to sleep, meals, and a fun weekend with a number of aerospace-related activities—but above all, plenty of opportunities to get to know your fellow students!

ASSOCIATION FOR TECHNICAL PHYSICS
At the Freshman Weekend (EJW), you’ll get to know the program, the student association (VvTP), and other incoming freshmen! You’ll do this through fun activities, as well as great parties that go on well into the night! During this fantastic weekend, the mentor groups for the rest of your first year will also be formed—these will be friends for life! In short, you don’t want to miss this!
The EJW will take place from August 15 through 17. Afterward, you can be dropped off in Delft for the start of the OWee. The EJW costs around 95 euros, which also includes your membership fee.

W.I.S.V. 'Christiaan Huygens' is the student association for mathematics and computer science. We are organizing the freshman weekend from August 8–10. During this weekend, there will be all sorts of fun activities to help you get to know your fellow students. Since you’ll naturally want to start your student life next year full of energy and excitement, you can sign up here for the Maritime Engineering Student Association’s freshman weekend. This weekend promises to be a fun time filled with activities that will help you get to know your fellow students and the student association well. As a prospective student, you definitely don’t want to miss this! Especially since during the Freshman Weekend, you’ll immediately go on a field trip to a major shipbuilder, Damen. There, you’ll see firsthand what maritime engineering looks like in practice. Starting with the Freshman Weekend, you’ll immediately get to know the wonderful student life in Delft with a group you’ll form during the event. Your first OWee is one you’ll often look back on later in your student life.
